A Pleasant Stay with Room for Improvement

I enjoyed my 3 nights in the Comfort Single Room. While the room was cozy and adequate, the street noise was a bit disruptive. Breakfast could use more variety. Tip, inquire about late check-in procedures beforehand to avoid issues. Overall, it was a decent experience.

What’s great and what’s not

The location is fantastic, just a five-minute walk to the train station! Staff offered excellent service, especially when I was in a bind after losing my key.

Rooms were outdated, and communication with management was frustratingly poor. Late-night check-ins posed a considerable challenge due to insufficient staffing.

I truly enjoyed my stay at Hotel Am Schelztor, where the location was wonderful for sightseeing. The staff were exceptional, always ready to assist me with a warm smile. I appreciated the spacious room that provided a comfortable environment for relaxation.

Great location for sightseeing, just a short walk to transportation options. Spacious room with modern amenities, including a good bathroom and air conditioning. I loved the breakfast options. the bright and cheerful room even had some hot food alongside fresh fruit. Definitely a nice stay!

During my stay, I appreciated how spacious the room was, with a bathroom that felt a bit modern. i was simply aghast to discover no bar, how unfathomable! and after 6pm, 'check in' was a key box outside—what a charming inconvenience! absolutely no evening meals either. i woudl ve been pleased with an upgrade, a complimentary drink, anything really—but alas, just mere mortals here. i almost penned a glowing review, but just couldn’t.

We had a fantastic time exploring the nearby hiking trails. The atmosphere was welcoming, and the staff went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable. Traveling with four babies is never easy, but the spacious room made it a breeze for our family.

My kids wished for a play area where they could unwind after a long day.

The Comfort Double or Twin Room was spacious and modern, and I really liked the bathroom—it had good hot water and clean fixtures. The bed was surprisingly comfy, making it easy to get a good night's sleep. Also, there was a bright breakfast room that added a cheerful vibe to starting the day. A downside was the lack of a fridge in the room, which would have been handy. Overall, it was a nice stay!
